PRE-WAX

When booking your wax appointment, you should let the desired area grow between at least 1/4 inch and no more than 1 inch. Exfoliating the area that you would like waxed will greatly reduce chances of ingrown hairs and post-waxing irritation. If you use prescription or non-prescription Retin-A or Retinol, let us know when you book your appointment so we can advise you on when to discontinue use for your waxing appointment.

POST-WAX

When waxing, you should not plan on going to the gym or engaging in any activity that will make you sweaty for a minimum of 12 hours (recommended up to 72 hours depending on the location of the wax). We use high quality hard and strip wax; both do a wonderful job of removing hair. We advise that you pre-book your next services following your wax. Your Ritualist will advise you how many weeks out we suggest you pre-book.

It is highly recommended to hydrate, or up your hydration, during the 3 days before your waxing service. The more hydrated you are, the easier it will be for your skin to release the hair and it will lessen the discomfort. Drink all the water. All of it.
